Gutter Repair in Atlanta for Sagging, Leaking and Torn-Off Runs
A sagging gutter holds water, the water adds weight, and the weight pulls the next hanger loose. It only gets worse.

Gutter repair in Atlanta is usually one of three jobs: re-hanging a sagging run on hidden hangers, resealing leaking seams and corners, or fixing downspouts that are crushed or clogged. We check the pitch toward each outlet while we are up there, because a gutter that holds water keeps pulling itself off the fascia.

The job
How Gutters Fail, One Hanger at a Time
Gutters fail slowly. A hanger lets go, the run sags, water pools in the low spot, and the added weight pulls the next hanger loose. Meanwhile water spills behind the gutter and rots the fascia it hangs from.
Most repairs keep the gutter you have. When the run is undersized, badly dented or failing at every seam, new gutters are the better spend, and we will tell you which you are looking at.

What the work covers
Sagging Gutter Re-Hang
Older gutters often hang on spikes driven through the gutter into the fascia, and those spikes back out as the wood swells and dries. We replace them with hidden hangers screwed through the fascia into the rafter tails, spaced closer where trees drop heavy debris. While the run is loose, we reset the pitch so water flows toward the outlet instead of sitting in the middle. If the fascia behind it is soft, that board gets repaired first, since no hanger holds in rotten wood.

Leaking Seam and Corner Repair
Seams and corners are where gutters drip, especially on sectional gutters or older runs where the sealant has dried and cracked. We clean the joint to bare metal, remove the old caulk, and reseal with gutter sealant made for aluminum, adding rivets or a strip where the joint has separated. End caps get the same treatment. On long runs with a leak every few feet, resealing becomes endless maintenance, and a continuous new run is worth pricing against it. Where water shows at a miter, the corner is often replaced outright.

Downspout Repair
A downspout that is crushed at the bottom, disconnected at the elbow or clogged inside backs water up into the gutter, which then overflows at the corner. We clear clogs, replace crushed sections and elbows, and re-strap loose downspouts to the wall. The discharge end matters as much: water dumped against the foundation causes its own trouble, so we add extensions or splash blocks that carry it away. Clogged underground drains are flushed where they can be reached, and loose straps are replaced while we are there.
Local conditions
Hail, Trees and Gutters From Acworth to Atlanta
Our head office sits in Acworth, in Cobb County, which was inside the July 2026 hail path, and the June 2025 storm reached Marietta and Kennesaw beside it. Hail dents aluminum gutters and downspouts even when the roof above looks untouched. Across Atlanta, 61 percent of single-family land sits under tree canopy, so gutters also carry heavy loads of wet debris that pull hangers loose long before the metal wears out.

Fixing Gutters Yourself Versus Calling Us
Re-hanging a gutter looks easy from a ladder. The ladder is the problem.
| Doing it yourself | Having us do it | |
|---|---|---|
| Loose hangers | New spikes in the old holes | Hidden hangers into rafter tails |
| Pitch | Left as it sagged | Reset toward each outlet |
| Leaking seams | Caulk over dirt | Cleaned to bare metal and resealed |
| Fascia behind | Not checked | Soft wood repaired first |

Questions we hear
Gutter Repair Questions
Usually fixed. New hidden hangers and a pitch reset solve most sags if the gutter itself is sound.
A clog, a sag holding water, or a gutter too small for the roof above it.
Yes. Dented sections and downspouts are replaced and often belong in the same storm claim as the roof.
Usually. Standard gutter colors match closely to what most homes already have.
Water is spilling behind it. The fix is the fascia repair plus hangers and drip edge that keep water in front.
Yes, as part of any repair, and on every roof maintenance visit.
If rain is coming, water will pour onto the foundation. Call and we will secure or remove the loose section.
